Design Review of Earthing and Earthing Study for Formosa 2 Onshore Substation, Taiwan
Formosa 2 Wind Power Co., Ltd was in the process of building the 376 MW Formosa 2 offshore wind farm including an onshore substation. Within the context of an extension of the substation to also include a harmonic filter compound, Formosa 2 has contracted Fichtner Pacific Engineers Inc. for the review of the design and the built parts of the earthing system as well as to perform a software modelling and prepare an independent earthing study for the onshore substation.
Our services
- Fichtner has:
- reviewed of the contractor’s substation earthing design and execution;
- performed a second opinion earthing software calculation and study (in ETAP);
- identified potential gaps in the design and/or execution and
- suggested corresponding mitigation measures.
